The Work
As a Data Migration Developer, you will design, develop, and implement data migration solutions during implementation projects. Utilizing Azure Data Factory (ADF) and PL/SQL, you will focus on ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout migration activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
Data Migration Development:
Design and implement data migration solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL.
Create and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with project managers, data architects, and stakeholders to understand migration requirements.
Collaborate on data mapping, profiling, and reconciliation activities.
Coding and Optimization:
Develop SQL scripts, stored procedures, and queries for migration and integration tasks.
Monitor and optimize migration processes for improved performance and efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through validation and troubleshooting.
Resolve data quality issues and perform comprehensive testing of migration workflows.
Documentation and Support:
Document workflows, processes, and technical specifications for migration activities.
Provide support for migration issues during testing and production cutover phases.
Emerging Trends:
Stay updated with advancements in data migration technologies, particularly in ADF and SQL.
Requirements
Experience Levels:
Junior Developers: 3–5 years
Lead Developers: Minimum of 7 years
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience in data migration projects using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and PL/SQL.
Strong proficiency in SQL, with expertise in complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
Knowledge of database design, data modeling, data mapping, and data profiling.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, PowerShell scripts, Azure Storage Accounts, and Azure SQL.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
Knowledge of .Net for document migration or UI enhancements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Additional Notes:
Candidate may need to travel to Singapore to support CDR/Cutover phases (including shift work).
The position is office-based at the Manila office, requiring onsite work.
