Research Fellow (Cancer Science Institute)
Detalhes do emprego
The ADJ Laboratory at Cancer Science Institute, focuses on understanding the immune system's recognition of cancer cells after DNA-damaging chemotherapy. The lab’s goal is to guide the rational design of immunotherapy-chemotherapy combinations for cancer treatment, with a particular emphasis on lymphomas and collaborations with the NUH Lymphoma team. The Research Fellow will play a pivotal role in advancing these efforts by conducting cutting-edge research at the intersection of molecular and cellular biology, immunology, and translational cancer therapy. Conduct Research: Investigate intracellular mechanisms in cancer cells influencing immune activation after DNA damage. Develop and evaluate combination strategies to enhance the efficacy of genotoxic chemotherapy using cell-intrinsic and cell-extrinsic approaches. Experimental Design and Execution: Utilize cell line models for epithelial and lymphoid cancers to study DNA repair and immune activation mechanisms. Design and perform in-vitro assays and systems to analyze immunogenic responses to chemotherapy. Perform quantitative microscopy on histological material to explore immune modulation pathways. Data Analysis and Dissemination: Analyze experimental results, interpret findings, and prepare research publications in high-impact journals. Present research outcomes at local and international conferences. Collaborations: Work closely with local and international collaborators for clinical sample acquisition and analysis. Partner with pharmaceutical and medical technology companies to facilitate clinical translation and biomarker development. Mentorship and Supervision: Provide guidance and mentorship to graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, elective students, and medical trainees involved in the lab’s projects. Research Development: Contribute to securing research funding through grant proposals and fostering academic-industry collaborations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
