The Project Control Senior Manager leads the planning, monitoring, and control functions of complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This role involves managing teams, optimizing processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate risks and drive project success. Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Scheduling

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive project schedules and milestones.
  • Oversee resource allocation and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Work with project managers to integrate schedules across multiple projects.

Budget and Cost Control

  • Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
  • Identify and address variances between planned and actual expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and contractual obligations.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor risk triggers and coordinate with teams to resolve issues proactively.
  • Regularly review and update risk registers.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Develop KPIs and metrics to track project performance.
  • Generate and present detailed progress reports to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates on schedule, budget, and resource utilization.
  • Lead and mentor the project control team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals.
  • Manage and resolve conflicts within the project control function.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure all project control processes comply with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project control activities, including approvals and changes.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in project controls or similar operations, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Reporting Skills (Power BI).
  • Contract Knowledge (FIDIC based contract)
