Your role and responsibilities The Maintenance coordinator will be motivated, committed and look forward to providing consistent and efficient services, being masters of their profession . The successful candidate must be able to work independently and make strategic decisions to optimize equipment operation while complying with safety and quality standards. You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Assess equipment repair priorities, scheduled maintenance requirements, parts needs, facility needs and completion targets
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance program according to standards
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance are performed to standard specifications
  • Test equipment after repair to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications
  • Recommend solutions to routine and unique equipment problems
  • Deliver ideas and make recommendations on shop and process improvements
  • Interact with the welding department for repairs and continuous improvements
  • Guardian of all documentations and files related to maintenance department along with the data base of maintenance management systems.
  • Lead and contribute to projects like implementation of new equipment, on time and on budget. Coordinate contractors and ensure compliance with safety rules.
Other general responsibilities:
  • Adhere to and comply with all safety and environmental policies and initiatives
  • Adhere to company policies, processes and procedures
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • Establish, complete and analyze maintenance reports (KPI) and plan accordingly
  • Other assigned duties as may be required to meet operational objectives

Our Edmonton production plant specializes in the manufacturing of Cable Tray . Our facility is comprised of 40 employees. Within our facility we have mechanical punch presses, MIG welding machines, forklifts, and a Shear & Brake among other machinery. We are looking to complete our team with a maintenance coordinator. What we are looking for:
  • 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience,
  • Electrical experience is beneficial -Asset
  • Holds the appropriate millwright journeyperson ticket or equivalent experience ;
  • Knowledge industrials equipment such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic punch presses.
  • Basic knowledge with Microsoft Suite and maintenance management systems.
  • Team-player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster strong working relationships.
  • Highly self-motivated and detail oriented;
  • Ability to successfully adapt in fast-growing and changing environments and to new technology ;
  • Excellent problem-solving, organization and multi-tasking skills;
  • Proficient in English.
