Detalhes do emprego

Our client, a cutting-edge battery software company is currently looking to hire a Simulation Engineer / Battery Modeller (Electrochemical). The successful candidate will focus on developing and implementing electrochemical models that simulate key processes such as charge transfer, ion transport, and degradation in battery cells. The Simulation Engineer / Battery Modeller (Electrochemical) will:

  • Use software tools (e.g., MATLAB, COMSOL, ANSYS, or other electrochemical modeling platforms) to simulate battery cell behavior under different operating conditions.
  • Investigate degradation mechanisms (e.g., capacity fade, impedance growth, and thermal runaway) and incorporate these phenomena into the models for more accurate predictions.
  • Analyze simulation results and provide insights that help customers optimize their battery designs, focusing on enhancing efficiency, safety, and performance.
  • Develop and implement detailed electrochemical models for various battery chemistries (e.g., lithium-ion), simulating processes like charge/discharge, ion transport, and degradation.
  • Collaborate with the experimental and testing teams to validate models using real-world battery testing data, and refine models based on experimental results.
The Simulation Engineer / Battery Modeller (Electrochemical) will have:
  • 3-5 years working in industry or research application-oriented environment.
  • Expertise in electrochemical modelling, including mechanical and physics-based modelling.
  • Proficient in PyBaMM, GT-Autolion, and COMSOL for electrochemical simulations.
  • Strong understanding of battery cell degradation, performance, and efficiency modelling.
  • Experience developing and validating physics-based battery models.
  • Strong project management skills for coordinating complex modelling projects.
