Job Requirements
- Perform migration of legacy Safeguard systems to 800xA platform, including system analysis, migration planning, and execution.
- Provide technical expertise in safety system configurations, programming of logic, HMI interface, testing, and functional verifications.
- Able to interpret existing safeguard logic and implement for new system requirements.
- Prepare and update technical documentation including existing FDS, IO lists, Architecture, operation manuals, and test procedures.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate system functionality post-migration, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
- Identify opportunities for optimizing system performance and reliability and implement improvements in collaboration with the engineering team.
- A Graduate engineer with 10+ years of experience in industrial automation, particularly in the integration and migration of legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Good understanding of ABB Safeguard and ABB 800xA systems and ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration and minimal downtime.
- Knowledge of any tool for logic/application conversions will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Ethernet network configurations and communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, etc.) which are used for safety networks.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale safety projects, preferably in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information.
