We are looking for an Accounting Assistant Manager for our Financial Advisory Services practice to manage the month-end and annual close and consolidation process for our clients. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years solid experience in the finance and accounting process. This role will be primarily responsible for managing our clients monthly accounting close and consolidation process such as journal entries, payroll and deductions, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing & recording revenue, reconciling bank, cash, balance sheet accounts, fixed assets/prepaid expenses, and preparation of financial reporting of P&L, BS, Cash Flows. This role will have the opportunity to create and drive standards across the business, to develop processes and procedures and to create efficiencies where possible as we look to scale the business in the U.S. and India. Job Responsibilities:
- Contributing to Organizational growth & development.
- Assisting in managing clients’ engagements including work plans, deadlines.
- Workday Financials Implementations, demonstrating hands-on design/solutioning, configuration and testing experience in as many of the following Spend (Financial, AP, AR and Integration with other Application) areas: Supplier Accounts/Contracts, Procurement, Business Assets, Expenses and Inventory.
- Responsible for the delivery monthly and annual financial statements and other schedules as requested by clients.
- Support clients accounting system implementation projects.
- Liaise with outside firms for audit and tax matters along with your supervisor.
- Ensure proper accounting methods, controls, policies, and principles are used.
- Make sure targets are successfully delivered & complete ad hoc projects, as necessary.
- Insurance industry experienced candidate is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry accounting/finance.
- Undergraduate degree in accounting/commerce, CPA or CA required with solid accounting consulting experience. MS/MBA is a plus.
- Strong technical skills and a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
- Experience with research & documentation projects related to new ASC accounting standards (i.e. – ASC 842, ASC 606).
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and accounting systems, experience with Workday is a plus.
- Strong background in FP&A is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities to set overall engagement expectations and direction.
- Effective analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to maintain and manage client relationships.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and familiar with Google Cloud and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM).
- Ability to support effectively multiple customers concurrently on short duration projects.
