Heavy Civil - Quality Lead Project Scopes: Excavating & shoring, Underground utility installations and Roadworks/remediation The Quality Lead Position is expected to measure the quality of products or services against industry-specific standards, use statistical analyses to determine how regularly these standards are met, and ensure products or services comply with relevant federal or provincial legislation. The Quality Lead Position will champion the Quality Management System and will be responsible to generate and implement the QMS. The position will lead quality aspects of the work and will mentor, inform, and educate workers at the workface to improve the overall quality of construction works. Job duties will include the preparing of inspection procedures Inspection and Test Plan, supporting procedures for each system. The Quality Control Lead shall inspect during field installation and prepare quality documents phased with construction. Other responsibilities will include the generation of work packages, audits, and inspections, developing workflow processes and assisting with the development of procedures. Responsibilities
- Prepare, obtain approval, issue, and implement company quality control (assurance) program manual in compliance with owner contract and company requirements.
- Be responsible for the interaction with owner, agencies, subcontractors, and internal departments on quality related matters including performance activities such as audits, program setup, program planning etc.
- Manage and direct activities and resources of the quality control department to meet company objective of producing highest quality product within established budget
- Technical diploma and/or degree in civil engineering.
- Professional certification for quality assurance/control.
- Five years experience in quality control with a strong technical background (emphasis on civil/municipal or related field)
- Experience with MMCD Specifications and MOTI specifications
