Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head/Director of Sales and Merchandising to drive the planning and execution of our daily sales events and ensure we meet or exceed our sales forecasts. This leadership role involves strategic collaboration with multiple teams to optimize inventory, pricing, marketing, and app content, ensuring our sales-generating events have maximum impact. The role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) while working alongside management in Marketing, Partnerships, and Growth departments. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the daily schedule of in-App shopping events to align with sales forecasts.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team to understand inventory availability and pricing from global distributors and sellers.
- Work closely with the Growth team to assist with casting and event execution.
- Partner with the Marketing team to ensure campaigns are impactful and aligned with sales objectives.
- Review daily in App content from independent sellers to ensure sales-driving events are prominently featured.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Push boundaries and implement innovative strategies to consistently hit and exceed sales targets.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales and merchandising teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Proven leadership experience in sales and merchandising, preferably in the luxury goods industry.
- Highly data-driven, with a strong focus on insights, numbers, and achieving measurable results.
- Strong aptitude for marketing strategies and sales optimization.
- This role requires you to be in office a minimum of three (3) days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) - located Mid-Town Toronto steps away from the Davisville subway station.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with live shopping platforms and digital marketing is a plus.
- Mid-senior level professional with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
