Let’s talk! What You’ll Do:
- Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees.
- Mitigate risk by analyzing incidents and applying Canadian HR regulations.
- Develop and implement innovative HR policies and improve existing best practices.
- Partner on recruitment strategies (minimal sourcing – less than 10%).
- Ensure compliance with Ontario employment standards and labour legislation.
- Drive employee engagement, recognition programs , and training initiatives .
- Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, coaching, and issue resolution .
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and filing systems.
- CHRP designation (mandatory) – Background check required.
- 2+ years in a standalone HR Generalist role or 3-5 years in a team-based HR environment .
- Startup or HR department-building experience is a bonus.
- Proven success with retention strategies and managing employee lifecycle processes.
- Hands-on experience in recruitment and onboarding .
- Strong understanding of Ontario employment law, ESA, and Canada Labour Code .
- A diploma or degree in HR or a related field.
- Exceptional project management, multitasking, and communication skills.
