Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off, 10-hour shifts Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Engineer to provide engineering support and execute projects within a business unit value stream. Reporting to the Lead, Facilities Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring successful project outcomes, including meeting schedule commitments, adhering to budget constraints, and delivering high-quality, safe solutions that meet stakeholder requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to the business unit team by understanding and addressing their project needs.
- Prioritize and manage engineering work orders in collaboration with the Small Projects Coordinator.
- Ensure projects are completed according to established project execution standards.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams during the project scoping phase.
- Obtain approval for Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs) and manage project budgets.
- Work with engineers, designers, and third-party firms to create error-free work packages.
- Review engineering deliverables with Maintenance and Construction teams to ensure designs are practical and constructible.
- Perform risk assessments and change management for each project.
- Manage schedules, budgets, and forecasts for sustaining capital projects.
- Provide support during procurement and construction phases of sustaining capital projects.
- Develop and manage yearly budgets, cost forecasts, and long-range plans for projects.
- Ensure proper project closeout and documentation completion.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Follow and enforce safe work procedures, ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Report any incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
- Engineering degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Proven experience in facilities engineering, project management, and delivering capital projects.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, safety-focused environment.
