We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Officer to manage inventory, oversee the receiving and dispatching of goods, and ensure efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, and a commitment to upholding safety standards in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts.
Ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet operational demands while minimizing overstock.
Track inventory movements using warehouse management systems.
Receiving and Dispatching:
Oversee the receipt of incoming goods, inspect for quality and accuracy, and ensure proper documentation.
Coordinate the dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Prepare and verify shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
Warehouse Operations:
Organize the storage layout for efficient use of space and easy accessibility.
Implement and enforce operational procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
Monitor equipment and request maintenance or repairs as necessary.
Team Supervision:
Oversee warehouse staff, assign tasks, and ensure productivity and performance standards are met.
Train and guide team members on safety, equipment handling, and operational procedures.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure the warehouse adheres to safety regulations and industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate risks or hazards.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Reporting:
Generate and submit regular reports on inventory levels, damaged goods, and warehouse activities.
Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvement.
Qualifications/Skill/Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse operations or inventory management.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and lift heavy items when needed.
Familiarity with safety regulations and standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Certification in warehouse operations or logistics (is a plus
Experience in industry such as manufacturing, or logistics will be an added advantage
