Joy Coburg is seeking a sandwich hand/kitchen hand to work in a beautiful new space. Our intention is to create extraordinary customer experiences through excellent product and service. Our small team works dilligently to create a beautiful space that has become an integral part of our local community. We are seeking hospitality professionals who are able to deliver consistent and high standards of food and service, and are intesrested in cultivating a sense of connection and community. Some highlights of the position: New kitchen and equipment. A lovley light-filled kitchen that is visible from serivce areas and very much feels a part of the customer experience. A small, focused menu with an emphasis on quality, seasonal produce. Ability to create and develop menu items About the role: Part time sandwich/kitchen hand 16 - 24 hours per week with the possibilty to increase hours for right candidate Food preparation Making sandwiches, toasts, salads and other foods as needed Preparing, washing fresh produce, preparing sauces and dressings Washing dishes Maintaining a clean work space Maintaining safe food handling practices Cleaning The candidates must meet below requirements to be considered: ideally, but not necessary, have a minimum of 1 year experienced in a similar role The right to work in Australia Great work ethic and attitude Strong interpersonal skills Work efficiently under pressure and to remain calm Work well in a team and autonomously Great attention to detail and reliable What we can offer: A fun and exciting work environment Award rate with the possibility of an increase if we find the right candidate A beautiful new kitchen that has large windows and ample light The opportunity to innovate and create new menu items If you are interested in joining the JOY team apply now!
