Overview:
- Full-time, ongoing position
- Salary Level HEW 6 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
- Based at the Bundoora campus, provide effective technical support to Pathology and Histology teaching laboratories
- Knowledge and experience working in an Anatomical Pathology/Histology laboratory (essential) preferably within a diagnostic environment.
- Proven knowledge and experience in the use of a variety of histological stains.
- Proven knowledge and experience in microtomy.
- Experience and knowledge in the routine operation, maintenance and training of various instruments related to an Anatomical Pathology/Histology laboratory.
- Experience in microscopy and preparation of cytological specimens (will be an advantage).
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, including understanding, and embracing a client focused framework.
- Demonstrated understanding of current OH&S legislation with a sound knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to the field within the scope of the outlined service area.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and with a diverse range of people from various backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of working in accordance with the RMIT value statements or similar frameworks in other organisations.
