What the role is: The incumbent's job responsibilities include but are not limited to: What you will be working on: Cost Estimation for Variation Work: Work with the Project Team and the Consultancy Team to review the detailed cost estimates/ assessment of Variation Works submitted by the Consultancy Team. Budget Management: Work with PUB Project Team to review the annual FY budget for each contract and work towards meeting the committed budget accordingly. Contract Administration: Ensure all contractual obligations are met. Cost Control: Work with the PUB Project Team to monitor the project expenses and monthly progress payments, and manage changes to project scope or design that affect project costs. Valuation: Carry out site visits with the Project Team and the Consultancy Team to assess the progress claim and provide assessments/valuations to the management accordingly. Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. What we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Work experience in construction and familiarity with PSSCOC or QS-related roles is advantageous but not essential. Possess professional accreditation (e.g., Accredited Professional Quantity Surveyor) will be considered for a senior position. Strong understanding of construction processes, costs, and contracts. Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and have a good understanding of statistics. Proficient in understanding technical drawings. Strong communication and writing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Candidate without relevant work experience may be considered.
