We are doing a confidential search for our client in searching for Business Development Lead for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery sectors. Business Development Lead (Pumps/Mechanical Seals/Aftermarket) Responsibilities: Strategically identify and cultivate new customers within Jurong Island, with a focus on the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refinery sectors in Singapore. Source, promote, and manage key accounts and distributors, providing technical solutions and addressing customer inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationships. Lead efforts in building a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecasting sales, managing orders to meet targets, and identifying new market segments for business growth. Identify and prioritize key projects, dedicating resources and following up to ensure successful project completion. Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Attain in-depth knowledge of products and market dynamics to provide expert consultancy on sales, service, application, and after-sales support. Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by developing and implementing effective sales strategies and gathering market insights to inform business decisions. Provide specialized technical sales support for rotating equipment, fostering new business opportunities and strengthening client relationships in the industry. Develop the business with new customers, with the potential to lead and motivate a team as the business grows. Collaborate with the Head of Department (HOD) to develop and implement strategies for local project quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and delivery timelines. Take ownership of the CRM/C4C system, ensuring accurate data management and effective use for sales and customer relationship management. Conduct product presentations and training sessions for both external and internal stakeholders and arrange for internal staff training on product knowledge and applications as needed. Coordinate with manufacturing units to enhance communication and secure support for quotations, ensuring the best possible timelines for project tenders. Provide updated project forecast lists monthly, ensuring all key stakeholders are informed of project progress and potential opportunities. Understand and analyse pricing and delivery competitiveness to secure successful participation in projects. Perform any other duties as assigned by the HOD to support the overall objectives of the business. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery sectors, with a strong background in mechanical systems. Proven track record of developing new customer bases and managing key accounts. Strong leadership potential, with the ability to lead a team as the business grows. In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment and technical sales within the industry. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
