Job Description Perform all diagnostic imaging services according to standards. Ensure examination is performed on the correct patient and observe radiation safety rules and respective procedural consents. Ensure the quality of the recording medium and printed copies of images on paper are of optimal quality before releasing them to the doctors and patients. Ensure that the examination code entered into the system corresponds to the examination requested. Explain the examination to the patient, including what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration. Ensure patients’ safety and physical and emotional well-being during and after the examination. Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff, and the public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation. Perform on-call and after-hours duties when necessary, ensuring prompt response in line with the prescribed standards of the Hospital. Perform daily QA procedures on equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure optimal performance. Perform any other duties as instructed by the Principal Radiographer and Manager/Assistant Director of Nursing. Job Requirements Bachelor in Applied Science (Radiography) or Diploma in Radiography from recognized institutions. Member of professional institutions, local or overseas. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Radiographer in a diagnostic imaging facility. Experience in sub-specialties preferred, such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Mammography. Those with previous experience in managing modality areas will be considered for a senior position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
