- Support and promote business development in the East Coast region.
- Undertake all facets of bid development and management to help prepare tenders for potential work.
- Engage with potential clients and industry events.
- Establish new projects, including sourcing documentation, liaising with compliance officers, setting up sites safely, planning the work with the Project Engineer/Manager, Construction Manager, and crew leaders. Identify major risks and long lead items.
- Ensure subcontractors and suppliers are engaged properly and that any procurement is done with the Commercial Manager’s full knowledge.
- Attend all Project Financial Reviews on a monthly or as-needed basis to ensure projects are being run to budget.
- Accomplish construction project results by participating in the estimating and execution of projects.
- Enhance organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Provide assistance to the Operations team in the day-to-day running of the business.
- Identify risks early and inform the Operations team as soon as you become aware of them.
- Attend pricing reviews for all tenders.
- Provide leadership in all areas of safety, quality, and environmental core values of the business.
- 5 – 10 years of experience in BESS projects as well as onshore wind farms, hydrogen, or solar, with a focus on business development.
- In-depth knowledge of BESS project development, regulations, and market dynamics; experience abroad is advantageous.
- Background in Project Management/Estimating.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Willingness to travel for work-related activities.
