Control Room Operation - Port

We are hiring for a steel manufacturing in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, for Control Room in Port Operations. Position: Shift Engineer – Control Room Operations Experience: 3-9 Yrs Education: Graduation in BE / B. • To oversee and control entire vessel loading operations for cargo loading from various plots as per customer cargo and achieve stipulated fast turn over time & to achieve targeted loading rates as per C.A.
• To ensure proper worker’s safety during operations of system.
• To oversee and control of shipping operations coordinating with Maintenance team & Rail & Yard Management team for trouble free operations & for reclaiming of cargo with equipment as per allotted customer plots.
• Liasoning with VPA officials & Customer, Agents for berthing of vessel within stipulated time.

• Cultivating a thorough understanding of work flows, business processes and other daily interactions with Higher, Middle & Lower management, Port Officials, Customers & Agents.
• Identifying the issues effecting the gross output, system performances & coordinating with concern depts with in time to reduce downtime operations.

• Monitoring Alarms & Events on SCADA Systems, recording the observations & suggestions from field operators for necessary modification works around either through project up-gradation or through regular maintenance activities to ensure nonstop operations for achieving better Turnaround time.
• Responsible for system operations with proper safety standards methods to ensure workers safety during operation & Non – operations / Maintenance period.
• Responsible for minimizing the dust environment during operations at yard, Junction houses by monitoring in CC Camera & coordinating with field operators.
• Liasoning with VPA officials (Task Force / Pollution Board team / Port & Signal control stations) for proper completion of vessel within time.
• Responsible for Proper loading of vessel without any issue of Dead freight, Improper loading (Excess / Shor loading), Demurrages.

• Coordinating with Traffic department (TM / DTM / ATM /Traffic & Signal Control, AQF’s) Depts for vessel berthing movement confirmation.
• Coordinating with Vessel agents for vessel projections for declaring vessel gap for shutdown / maintenance planning of equipment’s for enhancing the better system performances.
• Closely monitoring with Vessel crew staff (Master, Chief officers) & Surveyors for draft survey’s & loader positions, for proper loading of vessel as per required sailing drafts.
• Monitoring the cleaning activities on Jetty / Junction houses / Equipment’s during intermediate / maintenance / shutdown gaps for ensuring trouble free operations of system & improving system life.
• Coordinating with vendors for engaging equipment’s for lifting of spillages within time to reduce dust issues.
• Coordinating with internal departments, updating the critical observations during period of operations for proper planning & mobilizing the material & manpower to reduce the operations down time.
