Job Title: Quantitative Analyst Location: Mumbai Industry: Institutional Stock Broking Firm Key Responsibilities:
- Back-test and implement high-frequency trading signals/strategies in the equity derivatives segment.
- Conduct pre- and post-trade analytics to evaluate the feasibility and performance of trading strategies.
- Perform latency analysis to optimize strategy performance.
- Conduct performance attribution of live portfolios, analyzing and back-testing trading strategies.
- Develop, review, and refine strategy codes using VBA, C++, R, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and trading ideas.
- Service institutional clients by providing data-driven insights and quantitative strategies tailored to their needs.
- Analyze derivative data to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Monitor and interpret market news flows related to mergers and demergers to inform strategy development.
- Design and implement quantitative derivative strategies to enhance portfolio performance.
- Apply advanced knowledge of Probability, Statistics, Machine Learning, and Pattern Recognition to develop robust strategies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (preferably from IITs) or a specialization in Finance from renowned universities.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building or implementing high-frequency trading strategies in the broking industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, C++, R, or Python.
- Strong analytical mindset and expertise in working with large datasets.
- Comprehensive understanding of derivatives and quantitative analysis.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high energy and activity levels.
- Team player with a collaborative approach in a competitive yet constructive environment.
