About the Role: The accountant’s role at Stowe Australia Pty Ltd entails the responsibility of managing various financial tasks across the company. The ideal candidate for the job will excel in meeting associated deadlines, exhibit a strong work ethic, show a willingness to learn on the job, and possess the ability to collaborate within a team while also being effective independently. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Financial Reports
- Prepare monthly statements by collecting data, analysing, and investigating variances and summarising data.
- Preparation of the monthly management reports and executive reports for presentation to board of directors and branch managers.
- Prepare of year end audit work papers and liaising with external auditors.
- Maintain internal control systems.
- Prepare the Group tax return and liaise with tax auditors/external tax consultants.
- Prepare the Group FBT return.
- Responsible for conducting GST analytics and preparing monthly BAS.
- Perform STP reconciliation to provide assurance for the Group’s weekly and yearly STP lodgement to the ATO.
- Assist in in Audit and perform internal control reviews on regular and periodic basis, highlighting issues and formulating solutions and recommendations to appropriate department heads for resolutions.
- Directly liaise with insurance broker for the application of credit insurance over the company’s clients.
- General Ledger maintenance (integrity checks, coding of transactions and balance sheet reconciliations).
- Formulate budgets, forecasts, and accounting policies.
- Initiate and pilot projects that improve the efficiency of the Group’s internal systems.
- Ability to use software’s such as ProntoXi, Cognos Power BI, and Analytics Cubes.
