Manager, Research Grant Administration Apply at locations: NTU Main Campus, Singapore Time type: Full time Posted on: Posted Today Job requisition id: R00018371 Nanyang Technological University initiated the first materials engineering degree programme in Singapore under the Division of Materials Engineering in 1991. With the increasing demand for materials engineers, the division was subsequently elevated into a full-fledged engineering school in 2000. The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) has undergone substantial transformation over the years. While continuing to equip students with the latest scientific and technological skills sets much needed by the industry, the School has evolved into a hub of excellence in its niche areas of research. As part of NTU’s College of Engineering, MSE is now recognised worldwide as a premier research institution with top universities, multinational corporations and R&D institutions as its research collaborators and funding partners. The role will be responsible for nurturing and building relationships with ecosystem stakeholders such as academia, industry, and government agencies, as well as strengthening existing partnerships and seeking new opportunities for partnership for both education and industrial alliance. Key responsibilities: Lead the operation of the Research Office within the unit. Support the school management in the strategic planning and development to grow research portfolios. Facilitate business setup and continuity in the school related to research grants and project matters. Oversee coordination and manage relationships with key stakeholders for the management of research grants and research agreements. Oversee research manpower matters for the unit. Serve as the primary contact for collation, analysis, and reporting of research data and statistics. Serve as key support to school management for research-related publicity materials. Enhance and promote the school’s research capabilities through coordinating seminars, workshops, courses, and engagement sessions with both internal and external parties. Represent the school in various initiatives as assigned. Requirements: A recognized Degree/Masters/PhD with 5 years of relevant experience in research grant administration or management within educational or research institutions. Understanding of the research grant management and administration processes, research ecosystem, and proven track record in grant management; experience in the higher education sector will be an added advantage. Strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal abilities across various organizational levels and the ability to work effectively within a diverse community. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A self-motivated individual with the ability and flexibility to handle complex business, interpersonal, and intra-organizational challenges. Resourceful and capable of working independently under tight timelines. Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Strong planning and organizational skills. Able to maintain high standards of confidentiality with sensitive information. Proficient in MS Office, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new IT software and applications as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
