Act as the point of contact between the Managing Director and internal/external staff and clients. Provide Japanese-English language translation both verbal and in writing for the MD. Interpret instructions from MD to non-Japanese stakeholders and staff. (Japanese to English and vice versa). Work closely with the Company’s staff to translate and voice over for business meetings and presentations. (English to Japanese and vice versa). Support the company in meetings (external or internal) to provide translation verbally and in writing. Translate internal and external documentation in all forms of media from English to Japanese and vice versa. Converse and write emails to liaise with HQ in Japan. Make travel arrangements for the company including MD and overseas delegates coming to Singapore. Administer local and overseas staff claims. Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by MD. Requirements: Diploma / Degree in Business or Japanese Language studies or any related discipline. Excellent command of English and Japanese JLPT N2, as this role requires translating verbally and in writing for business meetings from Japanese to English and vice versa. Plus point to have translation experience. Well-versed with Microsoft Office and other productivity tools (e.g., SharePoint).
