Our client a leading Conglomerate, is looking to hire a Director Legal for their new businesses. This role would be based out of Delhi. He/She will provide strategic legal support to business units, senior management, and the board.Job Responsibility:Advise and guide the leadership team on a wide range of legal matters including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial contracts, compliance, and regulatory issues.Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of a variety of commercial agreements, including procurement, supplier, and partnership contracts.Manage and mitigate legal risks across the organization by proactively identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.Ensure corporate governance standards are adhered to, maintaining strong compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.Represent the company in disputes, liaising with external counsels, and managing litigation or arbitration proceedings.Develop, implement, and enforce legal and compliance policies and procedures across the organization.Provide training to internal teams on legal and compliance-related matters to foster awareness and understanding.Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, business partners, legal authorities, and external counsels.Manage and mentor a team of legal professionals, ensuring high performance and professional growth.Standardisation of contracte & corporate policiesQualifications & Skills:Educational Qualifications:LLB from a top/reputed law school; additional qualifications such as LLM or CS would be a plus.Experience:15-16 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate legal role, preferably within the automotive, industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors. Extensive experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and compliance.Experience in managing legal teams and interacting with senior business leadership.Prior experience working in or advising multinational corporations and large organizations is highly desirable.Skills & Competencies: Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.Ability to think strategically and align legal strategies with business objectives. In-depth knowledge of Indian and international corporate law, including regulatory frameworks.Proven track record in managing complex legal matters and resolving disputes efficiently.High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving PRB
