The responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of the supply chain and distribution operations, preferably from cold chain management experience. Ensure that goods and materials are delivered in a timely manner, cost-effectively, and in compliance with regulations.Key Responsibilities:Transportation Management: Plan and manage transportation routes and schedules, negotiate with carriers, and ensure timely deliveries.Vendor Management: Establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms and contracts to secure the best pricing and service levels.Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage logistics staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.Budget Management: Control the logistics budget, monitor costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.Problem Resolution: Address and resolve logistical issues such as delays, damages, or shortages, and implement preventive measures.Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including health and safety, environmental.Reporting: Prepare reports on logistics performance, cost analysis, inventory levels, and supply chain efficiency for senior management.Key Skills and Qualifications:Education: UG/PG in any discipline/ supply chain management, business administration etc.Experience: Proven experience in logistics/supply chain management, preferably in a managerial role.Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.Software Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics and inventory management software (SAP S/4 Hana).Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage relationships with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.Working Conditions:Typically works in office settings and warehouses or distribution centers.May require travel and work during weekends or holidays, depending on operational needs.This role plays a critical part in ensuring that the logistics operations of a business run smoothly, cost-effectively, and meet customer expectations.
