Responsibilities: Oversee all facets of port operations, such as stevedore coordination, cargo loading and unloading, and vessel scheduling. Verify adherence to business rules, industry standards, and safety legislation. Create and preserve connections with local representatives, port officials, and other interested parties. Track and evaluate port performance, pinpoint areas in need of development, and put the right plans into action. Control and maximise journey costs, taking into account the cost of bunker supply and other running costs. Work together with other departments, such finance and logistics, to guarantee smooth coordination and communication. Assist ship crews with loading and unloading procedures by offering technical advice and assistance. Assure accurate and timely reporting of port performance and activities. To promote continual progress, keep abreast of advancements and trends in the industry. Requirements: Expertise in a related position. Master Mariner COC or a comparable designation. Strong familiarity with port operations, including cargo handling, safety protocols, and stowage planning. Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities. Demonstrated capacity for team leadership and management. A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as maritime studies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
