Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Your Contribution

• Works closely with key suppliers and ensures they adhere to quality standards requirements and practice continuous improvements for defect prevention, to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Assess, identify, and make recommendations for areas of improvement of key suppliers; work closely with them to incorporate these recommendations.
• Define key suppliers quality monitoring mechanisms that generate meaningful metrics providing indications of incoming quality.
• Setup key suppliers KPI monitoring; define periodic reviews, metrics, and performance indices.
• Maintain key suppliers’ quality performance database (incl. KPI performance, IQC summary, audit results, quality issues related information, etc.) for internal monitoring, measurement, analysis, and evaluation purposes.
• Collate and evaluate key suppliers’ quality performances; identify and drive improvement opportunities.
• Communicate with key suppliers regularly to address any concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continuous improvement in working relationships.
• Track key suppliers 4M+1E changes and flow the information to internal stakeholders to evaluate if adverse impact is observed; act as the point of contact in quality-related topic discussions.
• Support QA in root cause analysis and CA/PA of suppliers’ quality issues, communicating with suppliers on quality issues as necessary.
• Define key suppliers audit scope and criteria; coordinate the audit activity.
• Perform regular system and process audits to ensure key suppliers continue to work in compliance with quality standard requirements.
• Visit key suppliers' facilities and observe the manufacturing environment as necessary, to review and assess the defined resources in place to meet the requirements for the provision of products or services.
• Issue CAR to key suppliers, follow up on the CAR replies, and verify the effectiveness of the committed actions, as necessary.
• Publish system qualification results; drive for system improvement on the new external provider when required.
• Have an understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting actions verification, and follow-up.
• Ensure key suppliers’ committed corrective actions and preventive actions are documented as per QMS requirements.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or quality.
• Preferably ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
• Understand organization key processes and their interactions.
• Good knowledge of ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & IATF 16949. Internal auditor of ISO9001.
• Good communication, presentation, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing field, with 2 years of supplier quality engineering.
• Proven ability in handling customer complaints or complaints to suppliers.
