The NES actively participates in the processes, programs, and activities through which the organization develops, enhances, and improves the technical skills, clinical competencies, and overall performance of its caregivers. The NES partners with key stakeholders in coordinating and guiding the design, implementation, and evaluation of safe, cost-effective, evidence-based education for their designated areas.Professionalism:Facilitates a supportive environment by promoting a positive student experience.Serves as a positive change agent.Demonstrates behaviors of a patient-first philosophy.Responsibilities:Participates in the development of department-specific clinical orientation processes and outcomes (including Nurse Residency/Transition to practice program).Manages the relationship between learner and preceptor by setting goals and providing formative and summative feedback.Designs, directs, implements, and evaluates educational offerings based on knowledge, skills, and learning needs of nursing staff according to accreditation standards.Develops nursing caregivers professionally through the design, delivery, and evaluation of continuing educational learning activities.Evaluates clinical competence.Consults with individuals within the Nursing Institute and the community regarding professional nursing practice and roles.Facilitates learning resource allocation to meet the unique needs of caregivers in their areas.Teaches life support and simulation courses.Works with individuals of other professions to maintain a climate of mutual respect and shared values.Communicates with patients, families, communities, and other health professionals in a responsive and responsible manner that supports a team approach to maintaining health and treatment of disease.Communicates with patients, families, visitors, and vendors in a courteous, helpful manner, endeavoring to resolve issues at the unit/department level.Develops and utilizes appropriate evaluation systems to determine the effectiveness of educational activities.Implements a comprehensive process of program evaluation to determine the impact on practice, patients, and/or system outcomes.Collates, analyzes, and reports pertinent data related to identified outcome measures.Analyzes trends in patient care metrics, adverse events, and KPIs to identify practice gap learning opportunities.Represents clinical education by participating in NI Shared Governance processes.Performs other duties as assigned.Desired Candidate ProfileQualification:Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification (minimum three-year curriculum) in Nursing from an accredited program is required.BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor status relevant to area of specialty is required; or must obtain within 6 months of employment into the role.Master's degree in Nursing.Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English.License: Valid and current national license is required.About Company: Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of the M42 group, is a unique and unparalleled extension of US-based Cleveland Clinic's model of care, specifically designed to address a range of complex and critical care requirements unique to the residents and communities of the United Arab Emirates.
