Senior VAVE Engineer (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) Job Description: Responsibilities : Responsibility for the product-related global technical change management in PSG to product end of life and to drive DTC (design to cost). Value Analysis and Value Engineering Changes, driving cost improvement in close collaboration with Engineering on product costs. Organize and conduct VAVE to ensure design/cost effectiveness and verification of ECP, in close cooperation with R&D Engineer, Project Manager, Production, and Source members; check for optimal feasibility and, if necessary, make additions or corrections. Responsible for presenting the impact of change to PSG with costs, lead-times, scrap risk & forecasted effectivity dates. Product change management and its implementation in SAP/Teamcenter including participation in PSG meeting/similar meetings. PSG prioritization and decision making of lead; escalate to PSG or Procurement Engineer where change is outside of PSG capacity. Total cost of ownership improvement, product cost management, engineering change management, process/technology application, and assigned tasks. Carry out assigned tasks by the Manager/Senior Manager. Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or any related discipline. Minimum 5 years of Supplier Commodity or Sourcing Management with engineering-related experience. Liaise with suppliers, customers, internal/external audit firms, and trade associations.
