Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the engineering team.
  • Schedule daily tasks and work assignments for engineers and technicians.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support staff development.
• Facility Maintenance:
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Develop a preventive maintenance program to maintain optimal facility conditions.
  • Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance issues promptly.
• Project Management:
  • Plan and manage engineering projects, including renovations, upgrades, and improvements.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders for project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and building codes.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and enforce safety procedures and protocols to protect employees and guests.
• Budget and Inventory Management:
  • Prepare and manage the engineering department's budget, including forecasting expenses.
  • Oversee procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and inventory management.
  • Track and report on budget performance and adjust as necessary to meet financial goals.
• Operational Efficiency:
  • Monitor and analyze system and equipment performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement energy-saving and sustainability initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
  • Ensure engineering operations support overall hotel goals and service standards.
• Guest and Staff Relations:
  • Address and resolve maintenance-related guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure smooth operations and address facility needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and compliance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on engineering operations, including status updates and budget performance.
