Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the Seafreight Customer Service and Operations
- Responsible for all Seafreight shipment [Import and Export] planning and arrangement from booking, pick up, pre-alert notification till the billing process
- Verify Billing Invoices prior to send out to Customer and Overseas agent
- Maintain Seafreight filling and records
- Control and negotiate all Seafreight Freight Rates & Local Handling Charges by the third-party provider
- Verify payment for Seafreight Freight Liner & Local Handling Charges before the payment requisition
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises staff for their quality, productivity, and discipline
- Provide training and guidance to staff
- Monitor and control the department's overtime work and cost
- Rectify non-conformity in the job requirements and initiate or support the necessary corrective actions
- Identify opportunities for improvement in quality and cost of Seafreight operations
- Undertake other projects and activities as may be assigned by Management from time to time
Requirements:
- Diploma or above qualification in any related discipline
- Minimum 4-5 years of working experience in a similar capacity
- Proficient in both oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Good knowledge of MS Office and computer usage
- How many years' experience do you have as a Sea Freight Manager?
- Do you have customer service experience?
- Do you have freight forwarding experience?
- How many years of people management experience do you have?
- How many years' experience do you have as a Head of Ocean Freight?
