Job Description - Temporary Research Assistant II (E&L) (24002RX) Founded in 1989, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) is a modern, vibrant and dynamic university. 06/Jan/2025, 3:59:00 PM Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
  • Designing and producing promotional materials for the School and the Research Institute for Bilingual Learning and Teaching, such as poster and webpage design, video recording;
  • Updating webpages related to programmes and research activities;
  • Providing administrative support for research tasks, including database maintenance and record-keeping;
  • Supporting the coordination of research-related meetings, workshops, conferences, and events organized by the School and the Research Institute for Bilingual Learning and Teaching;
  • Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
  • A recognized bachelor's degree, with at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience;
  • Good at Graphic and Webpage Design, with previous experience in this beneficial;
  • Competency in computer skills (including WORD, EXCEL and Chinese word processing, and graphic design software);
  • Good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua);
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Effective organization skills, able to attend to details, and capable of multi-tasking;
  • A strong sense of responsibility and motivation, and be able to work independently as well as in a team;
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in general administration/marketing and supporting services in educational settings.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a trade test. Terms and Conditions for Appointment Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract.
