Our client who are one of the UK's largest and most successful Surface & Highways Companies are looking for a new Surfacing Contracts Manager based in the Midlands out of their Derby office. The company offers a competitive Salary up to £65,000, Company Car, Private Medical, Life Assurance and a Bonus Scheme . The Surfacing Contracts Manager will be managing all aspects of asphalt surfacing contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. - Key point of contact between clients, subcontractors, and the site team
- Manage Asphalt Surfacing projects across the Midlands area
- Commercial control working with the Quantity Surveyors
- Management of operational employees ensuring the continuous development of skills by understanding training needs analysis
- Carry out site inspections and audits in line with company requirements
- Lead and motivate the highest standards of Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality culture, performance and compliance
- Writing health and safety plans, method
- Construction Management Qualification
- A valid CSCS card
- A proven track record of managing contracts in the surfacing industry or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors
- Proactively and positively promote Health & Safety at all times
- Strong negotiation skills on prime contracts
- Commercial awareness, with a focus on controlling cost and optimising value
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor
