We have an awesome opportunity for an HR Partner at PowerNet, based in either our Invercargill or Balclutha office. Our team of two HR Partners and an HR Manager are generalists, so no two days will be the same. You will have a dedicated customer group, whom you will provide the full range of HR services to. Whether you are a seasoned HR professional or a recent HR graduate who has the right attitude and is keen to learn practical HR skills in a supportive team environment, we’d love to hear from you. Our team is accountable for all aspects of Human Resources and Payroll at PowerNet. Our vision is to Tautoko (Support), Taea (Enable), and Tuku (Deliver) positive outcomes through effective partnerships. As an HR Partner, you will be part of the wider People, Safety, and Communication team, and will report directly to the HR Manager. In your role you will:
- Enjoy a high degree of autonomy with the knowledge there are others in the team whom you can call on for guidance and support, when required.
- Be responsible for partnering with your dedicated customer group, supporting leaders to get the best out of their people.
- Be involved in all aspects of HR and will have the opportunity to lead people-focused projects which apply more broadly across PowerNet.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or equivalent experience in an HR role
- Sound knowledge of Human Resources fundamentals
- Innovative and forward-thinking with high levels of resilience
- A good sense of humour, effective time management, and a drive to achieve results
- Prior recruitment and HR generalist experience
- Prior experience working in an HR partnership model is highly desirable but is not essential.
