This exciting opportunity allows you to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced and innovative team, focusing on a post-trade platform within the Energy Trading Front Office business. If you're passionate about coding and want to make a significant impact, this is the role for you! Role: Senior Full Stack Developer Location: London Hybrid (3 days a week onsite) Duration: 6 Months (extension options) Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies. Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and secure. Propose technical solutions and vendor products for business problems, collaborating with the project team. Utilise and enhance continuous delivery pipelines to release new features and functionality. Liaise with system owners and business units to ensure systems meet requirements. Create high-level technical designs, aligning with Centrica's architectural patterns and practises. Qualifications: Essential: Commercial programming experience in Python or React/Svelte. Essential: Previous experience in commodities trading or similar financially based institutions Proficiency in JavaScript (Es6 & Esnext), HTML5, and CSS3. Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, ECS, Postgres). Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming. Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and message queues (e.g., Kafka).
