- Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock counts and updating the inventory management system to reflect real-time data.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments to ensure the quality and quantity match the purchase orders, minimizing discrepancies.
- Organize and store products in designated locations, ensuring optimal space utilization and ease of access for picking and packing.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any issues related to deliveries or product quality promptly.
- Prepare and process orders for dispatch, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to safety and packaging standards.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent loss or damage, including monitoring expiration dates and rotation of stock.
- Assist in the development and optimization of storage solutions to enhance operational efficiency and workflow.
- Train and supervise junior staff in warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and inventory management systems.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to forecast inventory needs and prevent stockouts.
- Generate periodic inventory reports for management to facilitate informed decision-making regarding stock levels and purchasing.
- Educational background in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in warehouse or storekeeping roles, preferably within retail or distribution sectors.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools, demonstrating proficiency in data entry and reporting.
- Certification in warehouse management or inventory control is a significant advantage.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus, enhancing interaction with local suppliers.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in inventory tracking.
- Proficient in using basic warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, with necessary certifications.
- Exhibits strong problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing challenges in inventory management effectively.
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and efficiency in store operations.
- Physically fit to handle manual tasks, such as lifting and moving stock, while adhering to safety protocols.
