Your role

You will be designated as PGET and will be a part of Molex – GES. What you will do
  • Responsible for execution of NPD/MOD assigned and meeting the set targets. 
  • Follow the PDP process. Work collaboratively with the Requestors, Peers, Supervisors, PMs, and other engineering groups.
  • Responsible for understanding and working towards meeting VOC, by closely working with product management.
  • Design, develop and source electro-mechanical systems and components for Fixtures, automations requirements and robotic applications, including actuators, sensors, motors, and control systems.
  • Build and test prototypes to validate designs, iterating on them based on performance data and feedback.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, CAD models, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
  • Work closely with software engineers, mechanical designers, and other team members to integrate electrical and mechanical systems into complete robotic solutions.
  • Good knowledge of MBD as applicable to electro-mechanical products.
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to source components and ensure manufacturability of designs.
  • Responsible for creating concept models, drawings, product specifications, DVPR, and test summaries.
  • Responsible for evaluation of new tools for smooth integration of different electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Understand, aim, and achieve organization/department/self-goals.
  • Show value creation, productivity improvement and continual improvements.
  • Responsible for working on CAD tools like NX/ECTR/Teamcenter, Engineering change tools - SAP, presentation tools - PowerPoint, analytic tools - Microsoft Excel etc.
  • Responsible for self-planning of work based on organizational priorities by closely working with the Manager.
  • Imbibe quality in every action/work performed. 
  • Encourage team for Innovative ideas/product suggestions.
  • Ensure and encourage team participation in Knowledge sharing on Technologies and Products.
  • Support on optimizing the existing product by collaboratively working with different teams to continuous improvement.

About you

Who you are
  • BE or M-Tech in Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Support the Advanced Engineering Team on NPD and MOD projects.
  • Create Concept models, Drawings & DVPRs.
  • Conduct Tolerance Stack up analysis.
  • Create Manuals of Fixtures.
  • Document and publish application and product specifications of the electro-mechanical products.
  • Fixture Design and automation solutions for various test requirements.
What will put you ahead
  • Excellent understanding of Physics and Engineering Mechanics.
  • Excellent skills in NX/Teamcenter and knowledge of MBD preferable.
  • Good engineering drawing reading skills.
  • Understanding the principles of fixture design, including mechanical constraints, tolerance stacking, alignment, and ease of assembly.
  • Ability to design simple electrical circuits for sensors, actuators, and control systems within the fixture.
  • Knowledge of integrating sensors (e.g., position, force, temperature) into mechanical systems for real-time feedback and automation.
  • Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar) and knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their integration with mechanical systems for automation.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C, MATLAB) for automating testing procedures or integrating the fixture with other control systems.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electro-mechanical systems, particularly in fixture design for industrial or testing environments.
  • Experience with testing methodologies to validate the fixture's performance and ensure reliability.
  • Confident and capable of handling conference calls.
  • System integration, Troubleshooting, and Prototyping of fixtures.
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills using systematic tools.
  • Alignment to PBM philosophy.
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Spreadsheets, Presentations and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to others.
