As a QA & Test Manager, you will report to the Head of Quality Assurance & Test and collaborate with all colleagues in the business, most notably Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Client Managers, and the Test Team, to ensure the timely delivery of high quality custom client builds and iterative product updates. “All change must be tested” is a key maxim of the Quality Assurance strategy at Procentia, and you’ll turn that into a plan of action following a standard template, including what testing needs to happen, who is best placed to do it, when it should take place, and what outputs need to be created. You will lead a team of talented software Test Engineers, made up of internal and outsourced partners, as you guide them to perform to their best abilities and help them to grow and improve continuously. As well as nurturing the existing team members, you’ll review the demand and capacity of the team, and recruit and grow it as necessary. Essential skills:
- Extensive experience of planning testing activities at all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational and operational skills, including high-level management of multiple streams of unrelated work.
- Demonstrable line management experience, including skills and challenges such as coaching and performance management.
- Global mindset with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
- Problem solving skills, including helping others to overcome their own problems.

- Extensive experience in software testing, including leading a team in an agile environment.
- Foundation programming experience
- Jira/Azure DevOps, particularly the reporting aspects

- Work with the Head of QA & Test to refine and implement the QA & Test Strategy across the QA & Test and wider project teams.
- Guide and nurture a QA & Testing team, fostering a culture of continual improvement, collaboration, and sharing.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to develop a relevant and appropriate test plan that will provide assurance that the project goals and acceptance criteria have been met.
- Advocate for the QA & Test team to ensure that other stakeholders are aware of and delivering the artefacts necessary to test accurately and efficiently.
- Experience working across multiple projects and delivering to multiple timelines and priorities.
- Empower the QA & Test team to be present, vocal, and influential at all times.
- Enforce standards and practices across the QA & Test team and advocate across the wider stakeholder group to drive quality and standardisation.
- Design Test Plans for new projects that guide testers through the delivery.
- Escalate risks before they become issues.
- Work closely with our clients and build relationships with those involved in testing and UAT.
- Manage the allocation and time of a team of Test Engineers, ensuring their assignments meet the needs of overall quality and commercial influences.
- Ensure test artefacts are delivered on time and to an acceptable standard to internal customers and external clients.
- Ensure documentation is complete and accurate
- Nurture the test team and makes onboarding new people a great experience for them. You’ll mentor and coach people to be the best they can be
- Build credibility with team members and support team members by sharing knowledge and providing feedback
