1. JOB PURPOSE (Overall Objective) The purpose of this role is to have the hands on ground for the technical team to execute on site activities for a faster and cost efficient on site tasks completion. This role will bridge the gap between technical team and onsite team, being it vendor or customer. JOB PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES and JOB CONTENT Responsibilities: Hardware Responsibilities: Design and install electromechanical automation lines and stations. Understand electrical Schematics as per industry standards. Perform the electrical wiring, Component placement in control panel and electrical installation with precision & safety. Wire PLCs, tower lamps, sensors, cameras, and other control devices. Implement proper earthing and grounding techniques to ensure the safety and reliability of installations. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues on the shop floor. Prevent and mitigate static charges in the installation to avoid equipment damage and ensure safety. Software Responsibilities: Test and validate PLC logic to ensure it meets functional specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve logic gaps and interlocks to ensure seamless system operation. Ensure effective communication between PLCs and other system components. Connect and monitor the system performance, remote connect with technical team for bug resolutions. Support vision team with data collection activities. General Responsibilities: Travel to customer / vendor locations to supervise or execute the job. Remote Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion. Document installation processes, wiring diagrams, and PLC programming for future reference. Provide technical support and training to shop floor personnel. Adhere to all safety protocols and standards during the design, installation, and testing phases. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies related to automation and PLCs. Help the mechanical fabrication and station assembly during station deployment. ORGANISATION CHART: Reports to the operations team. PERSON SPECIFICATION Key Result Areas (KRAs): Design and Installation Quality: Quality and compliance of designed and installed electromechanical systems. Adherence to safety and industry standards. Software Deployment and Testing: Accuracy and functionality of implemented PLC logic flows, and inspection software flows. Effectiveness in troubleshooting and resolving logic gaps. Project Efficiency: Timeliness of project completion. Efficiency in resolving technical issues. Documentation and Support: Completeness and accuracy of installation and programming documentation. Effectiveness of technical support and training provided to shop floor personnel. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Installation Quality: Number of installation errors or non-compliances identified during inspections. Number of safety incidents related to electrical installations. Fill the QC Sheet of the mechanical station & electrical panel at the time of the deployment. Project Timeliness: Percentage of projects completed within the planned timeline. Average delay time for projects due to technical issues. Complete the Station assembly and electrical panel within the given timeline. Documentation and Training: Number of complete and accurate technical documents submitted. Feedback score from shop floor personnel on the effectiveness of training sessions. Maintain & send the MOM within 24-48 hours to ensure alignment on the discussed points and tasks after every visit. B. QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in EEE / ECE or relevant engineering/ diploma background.
- Experience: 0-1 years of experience.
- Exposure to electromechanical automation systems is nice to have.
- Intermediate Proficiency in python programming, embedded programming, PLC programming, automation system testing.
- Strong understanding of electrical control panels, AC power lines, and industrial wiring standards.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, earthing, and grounding techniques.
- Experience with wiring AC, DC systems, sensors, cameras, tower lamps, and other control devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site in an industrial environment.
