- Providing technical andbusiness leadership, guiding engineering teams and ensuringsolutions meet programme, business, and customerrequirements Presenting technical proposals, including whitepapers and business cases, while supporting radar-related biddingactivities Conducting radar system modelling, detailedplanning, and cost-benefit analysis to optimise systemeffectiveness and align with programmegoals Collaborating with customers, suppliers, andcross-functional teams while mentoring engineers and advancingengineeringcapabilities Promoting innovative technologies acrossprogrammes, shaping strategy and policy within the IntegratedBusiness Plan (IBP)
- Evaluating and adaptingsupplier technologies for integration into next-generation radarsystems through site visits andassessments
- Proven experience inradar system development with practical knowledge of technologies,requirements management (e.g., IBM DOORS), and configurationmanagement and a practical understanding of the full productlifecycle, delivering solutions with independence and technicalintegrity Expert understanding of systems engineeringprinciples, including ISO 15288, systems thinking, and holisticapproaches to complexproblems Strong leadership in large-scale complex systemdesigns, with knowledge of engineering lifecycles andtools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills,with experience presenting technical and non-technical informationto stakeholders
- Chartered Engineerstatus or significant experience to progress towards it, with abachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and provenexperience
