South The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a Director of Nursing - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services vacancy. This position will be based in Hobart and is a Southern Tasmania-based role. Our Aim: CYMHS Tasmania are seeking a Regional Director with extensive knowledge, expertise and experience of child and youth mental health service delivery and management. The Tasmanian Government is committed to action through the Tasmanian Mental Health Service Reforms with new initiatives to improve mental health service delivery. You can be part of this exciting work and help build new services and capacity in Tasmania to treat children and young people with severe and complex mental illness. An attractive relocation package is available and support for international visa requirements for successful applicants. The role will include:
  • Provide clinical leadership and direction in the development, management and evaluation of all facets of the overall service, including strategic direction to enhance the provision of safe and quality services.
  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of active partnerships with a range of key internal and external stakeholders to optimise overall sector integration and client outcomes within CAMHS.
  • Provide operational and clinical support to all managers and senior clinical staff across the Southern region, holding a statewide portfolio based on clinical background.
Details of Appointment: Registered Nurse, Grade 8 Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible. Salary: $137,387 - $159,884 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. In addition, the following allowances may be available:
  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

Essential Criteria:
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess a specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification.
  • Current Working with Children Registration.
