We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Music Business Development (China Market) to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in expanding the School's reach and impact within the vibrant Chinese music industry. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic plans for market entry and expansion within the Chinese music market. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key opportunities and challenges. Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry players in China, including record labels, music publishing companies, live music venues, and streaming platforms. Identify and pursue potential partnerships with Chinese institutions, universities, and cultural organizations. Explore and develop new revenue streams through collaborations with industry partners. Negotiate and close deals with partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Lead the development and execution of marketing and outreach campaigns to promote the School's programs and offerings to the Chinese market. Organize and participate in industry events, conferences, and workshops in China. Represent the School at relevant industry events and conferences. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of business development professionals. Set clear objectives, track progress, and provide regular feedback to team members. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment. Monitor market trends and competitive landscape in the Chinese music industry. Analyze market data and prepare regular reports on the progress of business development activities. Develop and implement strategies to adapt to the evolving needs of the Chinese market. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred. 15+ years of professional experience in music business development, marketing, or international relations. Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic partnerships. Deep understanding of the Chinese music industry, including its market dynamics, key players, and cultural nuances. Strong network of contacts within the Chinese music industry. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken), in order to communicate with Chinese partners. Ability to travel internationally, particularly to China. #J-18808-Ljbffr
