Alter Solutions Portugal is an IT Consultancy Company, promoter of Digital Transformation, part of the Alter Solutions Group, created in 2006, in Paris.In Portugal, we partner with over 120 clients and a team of over 500 people, working in projects for industries as diverse as banking, insurance, transportation, aviation, energy, and telecom.Headquarters of the Nearshore IT center, Alter Solutions Portugal has a dedicated team of around 30 specialized professionals, integrated into projects with several internationally renowned clients.Job DescriptionDevelop and maintain software applications using mainly Java and another high-level classbased language.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective tests, including acceptance, functional, and unit tests.Responsibilities:Development and maintenance of distributed systems to automate onboarding and user management in an internal service with 10k+ monthly active usersAdministration of CI/CD pipelines that build, test and deploy servicesDesigning and implementing user-consumed APIsContributing to existing codebases within our vast suite of compliance tools to add new functionalityTriaging incidents and providing 2nd/3rd level support to usersQualificationsDemonstrated experience developing enterprise applications in Java on top of SpringBootDemonstrated experience in one or more scripting languages, preferably PythonExperience engineering web applications in GoStrong working knowledge of relational databases and SQLExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CIStrong background in API design and testing, experience with OpenAPI 3.x a plusStrong understanding of git version control, familiarity with Git Flow branching model a plusAbility to collaborate in a team following Kanban agile methodologyStrong communication skills in both spoken and written English
