About the role:
The intern will gain an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end process within a supply chain by having hands-on application of Lean concepts and tools to achieve operational excellence. The intern will also get to understand the fundamentals of operational costs and learn how to build cost models. The intern will be able to build both hard and soft skills required in project management (budget, timeline, and stakeholder management).What you will be doing:
- Process mapping and time study observations
- Use the DMAIC framework to identify process gaps, then recommend and execute improvement plans
- Understand the fundamentals of operational costs and learn how to build cost models
- Create or fine-tune visual dashboards
- Support the implementation of ongoing continuous improvement projects
- Any ad-hoc duties assigned
The successful candidate:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any related fields
- Proficient in Excel data management (data cleansing, pivot tables)
- Able to build clear and concise PowerPoint presentations suited to the target audience
- Good communication skills with the ability to converse at various organizational levels
- Self-motivated and an independent learner
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Proficiency in VBA, SQL, and Tableau is advantageous but not required
