MEP engineers are responsible for analyzing plans and performing inspections, as well as providing input on the installation process and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This involves ensuring equipment meets all building codes and safety regulations, and that necessary modifications are implemented.
- Design and Drafting: Creating plans for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and designing solutions for existing problems.
- Inspection: Conducting regular inspections and checks of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and ensuring all building code requirements are met.
- Installation: Assisting or overseeing the installation of equipment and systems.
- Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance to ensure optimal functioning of equipment.

- Collaboration: Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals in the building industry.
- Degree: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably one with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
