Job Responsibilities: Experienced in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of fiber optic transport systems and associated technologies including but not limited to DWDM, ROADM, ASON, Layer 1 and Layer 0 technologies, protection schemes, fixed and flexible grid DWDM systems, coherent systems, etc. Responsible for high level and low-level design, generate implementation plans and provide technical leadership and guidance during deployment activities. Assist Project Manager in various aspects of driving the project implementation, including network design, site preparation, risks identification and mitigation, responsible for delivery of assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of a project. Responsible for buildout, delivery and daily operation of customer network. Work with Quality Assurance, Design, Product Management, Technical Publications, and Training to provide Customer feedback. Perform network/systems configurations, troubleshooting errors/problems, monitoring and/or testing systems performance, and contribute to the design of technical solutions for customer environments adherence to scope of work. Proactively provide solutions to prevent problems from occurring and/or to provide resolution for technical issues. Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability. Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties. Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations. Requirements: Possess a minimum of Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related fields. Expert knowledge of network technologies (SDH, MSTP, OTN, ASON). Preferable candidate with minimum of 3 years+ local experience in telecommunication project implementation/network planning/cutover experience in SDH, MSTP and WDM Network. Strong skills in configuring and optimizing network devices for efficiency and security. Proven project management and troubleshooting abilities. Candidate with HCIA/CCNA/HDCP Certification and relative IT certifications is with added advantage. Outstanding communication skills and ability to liaise with different levels of people. Selected candidate may need to perform ad-hoc standby duty. #J-18808-Ljbffr
