Detalhes do emprego

Industrial companies all search to minimize their ecological footprint, whilst they also strive to optimize plant performance and remain competitive on the global stage. To reach those ambitions, companies invest in digital programs, ultimately contributing to sustainable, ecological, and optimized production processes.

It is IPCOS' mission to support customers in the process industry in the further digitalization of their plants.

To strengthen our European based team, we are looking to hire an experienced APC Project Engineer to join our Plant Operations Excellence team. The team designs control solutions to increase operational safety and efficiency.

Through analysis of process operations and data, we deliver PID optimizations, implement APC controllers, deliver alarm rationalisations and real-time optimization solutions.

The role:

As an IPCOS Advanced Process Control (APC) Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high value APC solutions to our customers worldwide. You'll be a member of integrated project teams of both IPCOS' and customer's APC experts, in a multitude of projects at different locations. You'll take full responsibility for the budgets and planning of your project tasks, and you'll continuously manage to generate repeat business through complete customer satisfaction.

In an APC project, you will typically participate in:

Reviewing the client's current process operation and related constraints. This includes the analysis of process data, combined with interviews with key operations staff on site.

Reviewing and tuning PID control structures.

Creating the APC functional design.

Executing the plant step test.

Dynamic modelling of the plant.

Configuration and simulation of the APC controller.

Commissioning and maintenance of the APC controller.

Executing benefits studies.

Working closely with our customers is key, so the position requires you to travel extensively to different continents, typically for shorter periods of time.

Your profile:

You have an engineering background and at least 10 years of experience in Advanced Process Control (APC), Model Predictive Control (MPC) and/or Base-Layer Control projects in the process industry.

You are keen on interacting with end users in a global environment.

Your technical expertise is complemented with great communication and interpersonal skills.

You preferably work out of our office in The Netherlands (Boxtel), working on other locations can be discussed.

You are happy to travel extensively to customers' sites.

You are looking for a role and organization where your input has a great and meaningful impact.

You share our passion for delivering top notch quality projects and for customer focus.

Preferably you have experience with Aspen DMC3 / DMCplus technology.

We offer:

We give our employees full trust in organizing their workday and in giving them ownership and independency in their job from day one. Being a very international oriented and agile company, we offer a job with great variety and with lots of challenges in an intellectually stimulating environment. IPCOS promotes communication within an informal, constructive, and no-nonsense culture. We foster cooperation between colleagues, yet also provide room to work independently. To top it all off, we offer a competitive remuneration package, including benefits and flexible working hours.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. IPCOS will prioritize applicants who have a right to work and reside in Europe (preferably The Netherlands), and do not require Visa sponsorship.
