Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking a senior System Engineer specializing as an escalation point for an initial 3-month contract with extension highly likely. Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary point of contact for L3 escalations, demonstrating precision and expertise in resolving complex technical issues.
• Playing a vital role in project initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure deployments.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their growth through knowledge sharing and expertise.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Documenting project plans, configurations, and resolutions to facilitate seamless knowledge transfer and maintain comprehensive records.

Skills and Experience: The successful candidate will possess:

• Extensive experience in L3 support, showcasing proficiency in navigating and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Intune, and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Understanding of networking concepts, protocols and troubleshooting. Experience with Aruba would be highly regarded.
• Experience with any ITSM tools (Our client uses 4me)
• Project experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders and providing guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications: Whilst not essential, the following qualifications would be highly regarded.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, Windows 11 Fundamentals.
• AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
• Cisco Certifications: CCNP and CCNA
• Aruba Certifications: ACA and ACSA.
