Oracle DBA L3 - Onsite Role Job Description: What you’ll do: ▪ Schema objects management ▪ Database objects re-organizations as required to manage the growth. ▪ Data movement such as import and export of data. ▪ Administration of user accounts & Administration of the concurrent managers. ▪ Routine system administration e.g., user access and security, profile options, menu management, data auditing, logs monitoring, password management. Patching, testing and cloning. ▪ Data growth Monitoring and action points including purging at regular interval. ▪ Database Server Resources Monitoring and action points. ▪ I/Os monitoring and management at file system level and disc level to optimize resources. ▪ Identifying the sudden spikes. Analysis of abnormal observation and action points to resolve them ▪ Monitoring inconsistence behaviour of database processes, scheduled jobs and take actions ▪ Table space management. Next Extent size management ▪ Incident’s logging and monitoring ▪ Management, application and verification of Oracle Patches. ▪ Conduct monthly and quarterly account reviews. ▪ Assistance with feasibility and proof of concept analysis and design for Customer planned IT projects that involve supported Oracle programs. ▪ Oracle program release planning ▪ Research information on problems/ questions posed by Customer production and development DBs. ▪ Evaluation of current backup, recovery and data replication procedures and work towards improvement of those procedures. ▪ Creation of new database instances and their support. ▪ Upgradation of database version from existing to latest recommended version in coordination with Customer domain owner. ▪ Database performance analysis and performance tuning. ▪ Logging, follow up, escalation of Oracle TARs and implementation of solution. ▪ Execution of queries/reports in the production database ▪ Schema Password Change Management ▪ Monitoring of applications, regular, scheduled and ad-hoc jobs as per requirement. ▪ Temporary database creation and management ▪ Problem Resolution and Root Cause Analysis ▪ Co-coordinating with other teams viz. Customer Application Team, Network Team, Storage Team, and Server Team, Helpdesk etc. to close the issue and provide countermeasures ▪ Preparing, presenting and executing action points at regular interval to control the data growth. ▪ Server Resources Monitoring and apprise the action points to Customer basis resource utilization trend DBA Team will be having the ownership of schema passwords of production databases. ▪ Change schema passwords as per password policy ▪ Keeping the service operating in the event of a fault. ▪ Running periodic diagnostics on the availability of systems and services. ▪ Monitoring, measuring and presenting IT service availability to Customer. ▪ Interaction with Application Team ▪ First Level Application Support for all applications deployed in Customer will be through applications team. DBA team will be reported any help required on database tuning or query optimization required. ▪ DBA Team will run the queries/ programs on the production databases as per the request of application team, monitor the same and provide the application team with the output. ▪ All the process documents created, and scripts deployed during the contract period will be property of Customer. ▪ Whenever any major or medium release is done, DBA team will monitor and track the effects of the release / deployment. ▪ Capturing the inefficiency of any database queries requested through the programs and coordinate with respective application team to resolve the issue. ▪ Knowledge of ASM, disk management, ASM rebalancing ▪ Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Active Data Guard ▪ SQL query tuning/profiling Oracle Apps (EBS) Administration (Preferred)▪ Managing concurrent programs and reports ▪ Managing conflict domains ▪ Managing users ▪ Managing resource consumer groups and their hierarchies Configuration of multiple nodes Optimization of database performance and tuning. ▪ Monitoring of regular and scheduled jobs on ERP. ▪ Monitoring of regular and scheduled jobs on ERP and ensure improvement in coordination with Customer domain owner and respective application team ▪ Apps cloning and patching, troubleshooting ▪ Knowledge of ERP forms and RDF release in production environment What you need to bring:
- B.E. / B. Tech/BCA (On-Site), Relevant Certification (Preference).
- 8+ Years relevant experience, ITIL Certified, OEM Certified on Minimum One Technology
- Technology: Oracle, Data Guard, RAC, RMAN, OEM
- Certification: OCP (Oracle Certified Professional)
- Team Management – should be able to manage the team of 10-12 resources
- ✓ Customer SPOC for Oracle Database Domain
- ✓ Communication and Problem-Solving - Excellent communication skills and the ability to visualize algorithmic structures.
- ✓ Process Knowledge – Incident, Change & Problem Management skills (should be able to perform RCAs for the Severity1 & repetitive incidents)
- ✓ Should have Collaborative approach, Adaptability
- Technical Skills:
- ✓ RDBMS: Oracle 19c, 12c, 11g.
- ✓ Oracle Applications: Oracle Apps (EBS), Oracle Forms
- ✓ Operating systems: Linux, RHEL, IBM-AIX, HP-UNIX
- ✓ Tools & Utilities: Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), ITSM Tools (ServiceNow, Symphony SUMMIT), JIRA
