Lab Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Organize efficiently and coordinate the lab activities, including quality control, timely execution of all incoming requests and other lab work as required.
2. Collect representative samples from all field locations for laboratory analysis. Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analyses including crude oil, water, gas, and solid/deposits samples.
3. Ensure that all laboratory instruments are calibrated, maintained and operated properly.
4. Ensure quality control programs are executed properly.
5. Review and monitor analyses carried out by contractors.
6. Participate/contribute to all improvement projects carried out by laboratory clients.
7. Prepare daily lab reports as per the procedures and supervisor instructions.
8. Ensure that available equipment in the base is effectively tested and maintained to provide all logging services.
9. Ensure all equipment is in working order, corresponding modifications are properly done and tracked, and preventive maintenance is performed.
10. Keep optimum inventory of spare parts related to maintenance.
11. Prepare, check and maintain the following for the Base manager: tool status, repairs and outstanding repairs, fill tool failure reports properly.
12. Maintain service documentation listing and modification notice file.
13. Maintain tool history records.
14. Maintain truck and vehicle electrics, including Acquisition Systems.
15. Keep track of PM maintenance and modification for the base.
16. Encourage the HSE culture among personnel working in the base.
17. Consolidate records and information of maintenance cost, tools down, tools repaired and other KPIs to be presented to management every month.
18. Adhere to company policies.
19. Maintain office computer equipment including software updates and bug fixes.
20. Provide support in the field when needed.

1. Good written and reading ability and oral understanding of English.

3. Communication skills, able to conduct meetings with a large number of attendees.
4. Computer skills (Microsoft Office).
5. Able to work under pressure and long working hours.
6. Good physical condition and health.
